Employment terms say how somebody is paid: monthly, weekly, daily, or per class. A pay package says what they are paid — earnings and deductions you define, including ones derived from others.
Work taken from the register becomes a payable item, which is approved and then paid exactly once.
Worth knowing
- A payslip stores what it paid. It does not recompute from the package later, so last March still says what it said.
- The same class can never generate two payables.
